Our Story
There was once a time when the best ideas started at a kitchen table. That's where this one started, in Ballarat in 1997, with Millie's old sewing machine and a bin bag of offcuts. Sophie was 35. Millie was 32. What began as something to fill a Sunday became a little shop where customers didn't just come to buy a bag. They came to find something that felt special, personal, and made with care.
The sisters have always believed a bag is more than just something you carry. It's part of your day, your routine, your story. Whether it's a morning coffee run, a weekend at the farmers market, or a trip that calls for something truly beautiful, every bag in the collection is chosen with care.
But the world has changed. Mass-produced bags and big chains have taken over, and for small independent shops like ours, staying true to quality and character has become more important than ever. Sophie and Millie have always stood firm in one belief: every woman deserves a bag that makes her smile, without compromise.
After twenty-nine years
Sophie is 64 now. Millie is 61. They're at the machines fewer days than they used to be, more days in the garden, and there's a room here full of finished bags that were made to be carried, not stored.
So they're going out. Every bag is 60% off, with free shipping, and the discount stacks the more you take. Each piece was made with the same care and attention the sisters have brought to this since the first one, made to be carried on the days you'll want to remember.
It's their way of saying thank you to every woman who has trusted them with her story.
To everyone who has visited, shared a kind word, or found that one bag that made them smile, thank you. You are part of this, and your support kept a kitchen-table idea alive for twenty-nine years 💚
